Survival Variety Show with Short-form Drama? ENA 'Directors Arena' to Air in May!

Directors selected through an open call will compete by submitting their own short-form dramas in a survival format.

The short-form drama market is buzzing. ENA has released the first teaser video for the survival variety show 'Directors Arena' on its official YouTube channel. 'Directors Arena' is a survival variety program designed to discover not only existing directors but also the next generation of directors who will compete against them. Selected through an open call, directors will produce their own short-form dramas and compete in a survival format on the stage of the rapidly growing short-form drama market. Directors who survive each round will receive production funding, and the works that reach the final round will be aired as regular dramas on a new platform introduced by Lezhin Entertainment.

Director Lee Byung-hun, who holds the record for the second highest box office in Korean film history with 〈Extreme Job〉, and actor Cha Tae-hyun will lead this program. 'Directors Arena' is open to anyone aspiring to be a next-generation director. Applications will be accepted until February 13 through the official ENA website, and the program is set to air in May on ENA.
