
Steven Spielberg has won a Grammy and joined the ranks of EGOT.
Film director Steven Spielberg was named the winner in the Best Music Film category at the 68th Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, USA. Spielberg participated in the production of the documentary 〈Maestro John Williams〉, which captures the life of his soul partner, composer John Williams. With this win, Steven Spielberg achieved his first nomination and win at the Grammys.
With this award, Steven Spielberg has entered the prestigious EGOT status, which is highly regarded in American popular culture. EGOT refers to winning an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony. Steven Spielberg has won Oscars for 〈Schindler's List〉 and 〈Saving Private Ryan〉, Emmys for the drama 〈The Pacific〉 and 〈Band of Brothers〉, and a Tony for producing the musical 'A Strange Loop'. With this Grammy added, he has entered the EGOT club. The members of the EGOT club, including Steven Spielberg, are 22 individuals such as Audrey Hepburn, Mel Brooks, Whoopi Goldberg, Andrew Lloyd Webber, John Legend, Jennifer Hudson, Viola Davis, and Elton John.
