Global OTT platform Netflix officially announced on the 6th that it has cast BLACKPINK member Lisa as the lead in a new original romantic comedy film.

On this day, Netflix shared the news of Lisa's leading role through its official social media, stating that the project is inspired by the romantic comedy film 〈Notting Hill〉 released in 1999. 〈Notting Hill〉 starred Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant and received worldwide love.

The screenplay is written by Katie Silberman, who penned 〈Booksmart〉 and 〈Set It Up〉. However, the exact title and release schedule of the project have not yet been confirmed.

Lisa, who debuted with BLACKPINK in 2016, began her acting career in earnest through the HBO drama 〈The White Lotus Season 3〉 released last year. She is currently participating in the filming of the Netflix action film 〈Taigo〉 alongside Korean actors such as Ma Dong-seok and Lee Jin-wook, expanding her presence as a film actress.
