The legendary actor in Hollywood 'Val Kilmer' who has passed away makes a perfect return to the screen through cutting-edge 'artificial intelligence (AI)' technology.

AP News officially reported that Val Kilmer, recreated using generative AI, will appear in the upcoming independent film 'As Deep as the Grave'. In a still released exclusively by Variety, he is seen wearing a priest's robe, perfectly capturing his signature melancholic gaze and drawing public attention.

The film deals with the true story of a pair of archaeologists in the American Southwest in the early 20th century. Val Kilmer had promised to portray Father Fincher during his lifetime, but the project was canceled due to health deterioration. Consequently, the director utilized digital replication technology with the family's consent. His daughter Mercedes Kilmer emphasized the necessity of technology adoption, saying, "My father has always viewed 'new technology' as a tool for expanding storytelling."

Having lost his voice due to throat cancer, he also recreated his voice through AI in 2022’s 'Top Gun: Maverick', providing a heavy emotional impact to fans worldwide.
