Kim Gun-mo ends his 6-year hiatus with a triumphant return—showing his powerful comeback in front of 6,000 fans, the beloved national singer

Singer 'Kim Gun-mo' announced a perfect return after a long stretch of silence lasting 6 years. The Seoul stop of the nationwide tour 'Kim Gun-mo.' (KIM GUN MO.), held at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul on the 21st, sold out all 6,000 seats, confirming his unshakeable status. Even though it was his first official activity since 2019, the public’s long wait turned into thunderous cheers on-site.

His command of the stage was just as overpowering. Kicking things off with the debut song 'Sleepless Night, Rain Falling' and the mega hit 'Excuses', he performed a total of 27 songs over about 2 hours and 50 minutes without missing a beat, showcasing outstanding vocal power. In particular, the explosive 'crowd sing-along' that erupted when the intro to 'A Wrongful Meeting' rang through is considered the highlight of the concert.

Strong support from fellow artists also stood out. Senior singer 'Hong Kyung-min' and actor 'Lee Seo-hwan' appeared on stage as guests, and actor 'Kang Bu-ja', who came to the audience seats, offered special backing and encouragement, saying, "You’ve returned to your rightful place, so please share lots of great music from here on out."

On the encore stage, 'Kim Gun-mo' said, "I’ll prepare a new album with the mindset that I’m not simply debuting again—I’m making this a true 'fresh start' after my return," and bowed deeply toward the audience. He then left a lingering aftertaste with the song 'I Love You', successfully bringing to a close a six-month journey that stretched from Busan all the way to Seoul. More than just a return, this is a symbolic stage that proves his footprints in the music scene are still meaningful and valid.
