‘Hwang In-youp’·‘Lee Hye-ri’, ENA’s second-half tentpole ‘Dream for You’ as leads confirmed

Actors ‘Hwang In-youp’ and ‘Lee Hye-ri’ are teaming up for the first time for ENA’s new Monday-Tuesday drama ‘Dream for You’, scheduled to captivate viewers in the latter half of this year.

On the 24th, ENA officially unveiled ‘Youth Romantic Comedy’, spotlighting the two actors as one of the key dramas to be aired in the latter half of this year. The series will deeply explore the dramatic reunion and growth of world-renowned genius film director ‘Woo Su-bin’ (played by Hwang In-youp), who returns triumphantly after achieving global success, and ‘Joo Yi-jae’ (played by Lee Hye-ri), who is crushed by harsh reality and reduced to making ends meet as a struggling reporter.

At the heart of the drama is the divergent path of the two people, who once shared a dream of becoming film directors at nineteen. Unlike ‘Woo Su-bin’, whose debut feature swept major overseas film festivals, the contrast with ‘Joo Yi-jae’, who had to give up her dream after running into the wall of real life, captures the painful self-portraits of today’s young adults. ‘Woo Su-bin’’s sudden return to Korea serves as a decisive turning point, bringing the long-buried aspirations in ‘Joo Yi-jae’ back to the surface.

Along with the weight of the lead cast, fresh faces who have proven strong acting skills—such as ‘Lee Yeol-eum’ and ‘Baek Seong-chul’—join in great numbers, further polishing the drama. Above all, the industry’s top-tier ‘Production Team Lineup’ is drawing intense attention. ‘Director Yoo Sun-dong’, who showcased explosive directing power through the OCN ‘The Uncanny Counter’ series, is behind the megaphone, and ‘Writer Jung Eun-bi’, who helped write mega-hit works including tvN ‘Mr. Sunshine’ and ‘Goblin’, holds the pen.

Their story, which reconstructs the coming-of-age tale of youth left unfinished and the love that never ended, is expected to deliver overwhelming immersion for viewers and a lasting, heavy aftertaste.
