BLACKPINK’s Lisa will perform a residency (stay-in) show in the United States at Las Vegas for the first time by any K-pop artist.
According to U.S. local media such as Variety on the 30th (local time), Lisa will hold a solo concert titled “Viva La Lisa” at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas from November 13 to 28.
A residency concert refers to a format in which an artist stays at a specific location and takes the stage regularly, rather than touring through multiple cities. Through this contract, Lisa plans to meet local fans a total of four times over two weeks.
While there have been many cases of K-pop artists carrying out large-scale world tours, this is the first time that an artist has confirmed a residency show with Las Vegas—an international entertainment hub—as the base. It is seen as an indicator that K-pop artists’ standing has been elevated even further in the global pop market.
A native of Thailand, Lisa has enjoyed global popularity since debuting with BLACKPINK in 2016, moving between group activities and her solo work. Her solo single “LALISA,” released in 2021, sold about 736,000 copies in its first week, setting the then-highest record for a K-pop female solo artist.
