Actors Lee Dong-wook, Jeon So-ni, Jung Yu-mi, and Lee Jong-won team up with Netflix’s new original series 'Love Affair'.
Netflix officially confirmed the production of director Mo Wan-il’s new work, 'Love Affair,' on the 16th, unveiling a dazzling lineup of cast members.
'Love Affair' depicts the fated, intertwining lives of Ji-hoon (played by Lee Dong-wook) and Hoo-kyung (played by Jeon So-ni) after an unforgettable night in an unfamiliar land, as well as the fatal romance of four men and women whose lives are shaken to the core by it.
In the drama, Lee Dong-wook will play Ji-hoon, who will deliver a deeply immersive performance as he grapples with intense confusion between rational judgment and emotions he can’t control. Jeon So-ni will heighten the tension of the story as Hoo-kyung, a mysterious figure who intrudes into Ji-hoon’s everyday life.
Alongside them, Jung Yu-mi will take on the role of Ji-hoon’s wife, Sun-hee, while Lee Jong-won will portray Sun-hee’s younger brother, Dae-hee, bringing together the tightly interwoven relationships among the four tangled individuals with strong density.
In particular, this project has generated even more anticipation because director Mo Wan-il, who previously directed the sensation-making drama 'The World of the Married' and 'In a Forest Where Nobody Goes', will be behind the megaphone. The screenplay is written by Ha Su-jin, the writer behind 'Bloody Consequences' and 'Greatest Real Estate,' promising a daring yet meticulous melodrama thriller.
