According to the announcement from both parties, this partnership goes beyond simple content procurement to encompass a comprehensive and strategic collaboration model that includes joint story development, production, and merchandise business utilizing IP (intellectual property). Through this agreement, the major original animation lineup produced by MAPPA will be exclusively streamed worldwide via Netflix.

MAPPA is a studio that has built a solid global fandom through delicate direction and bold action animation in works like 〈In Another World with My Smartphone〉, 〈Jujutsu Kaisen〉, and 〈Chainsaw Man〉. It is particularly known for respecting the freedom of creators and introducing innovative production methods.

Netflix has confirmed its trust in MAPPA based on the successful outcomes of previous collaborations such as 〈Ranma 1/2〉 and 〈Kakegurui Twin〉. The status of animation content on Netflix is rising day by day. According to the announcement, more than half of Netflix's total members watch animation, and related viewing metrics have grown approximately threefold over the past five years.
