BTS Jungkook Transforms Into Calvin Klein’s First “Designer”… Collaboration Collection “CKJK” Unveiled

A Fusion of the Brand Symbol “CK” and the Initials “JK”… Beyond Just a Model, Participating in the Design Directly Rider Looks in Leather and Denim Under the “Fearless Cruising” Theme Draw Attention… Visuals That Feel Like a Road Movie A Global Ambassador Proven by Media Value in the 100s of Millions of Won (EMV), Setting a New Milestone in Fashion

With BTS member Jungkook (28) partnering with global fashion brand Calvin Klein, he is shaking up the fashion world by introducing a collaboration collection in which an artist directly took part in the design for the first time in the brand’s history.

■ More Than Just a Model… “Designer Jungkook,” the First in Brand History

On the 18th (local time), Calvin Klein officially announced its landmark collaboration collection with Jungkook, “CKJK,” through its official SNS. The brand described the project as a “movie-like collaboration that evokes the freedom of an open road, and the very first collection designed directly by Jungkook,” emphasizing that it is an “unprecedented partnership” that goes beyond a simple contracted model (ambassador) role.

The collection name “CKJK” was created by combining Calvin Klein’s iconic initials “CK” with Jungkook’s name initials “JK.” With the artist’s unique artistic perspective and the brand’s heritage reflected from the product planning stage onward, the industry’s attention is unusually high.

■ “Fearless Cruising”… Transformed Into a Rebel Inside a Road Movie Photoshoot

The released campaign images reinterpreted motorcycle culture and American classic looks in a modern way under the theme “The Rebel Rides.” In the photoshoot, Jungkook perfectly pulled off a rider look—sensibly layering a black leather jacket and a denim jacket over distressed denim pants.

In particular, the official “CKJK” symbol patch clearly attached to the pocket area of the denim jacket reveals the distinctive identity of this limited-edition collection. Jungkook sitting atop a large bike against a cobalt-blue background is reminiscent of a gritty road movie poster, driving explosive reactions from global fans.

■ Carefully Planned Global Moves… The “Jungkook Effect” Already Proven

Jungkook’s designer debut was carried out with thorough advance notice. During his appearance on NBC’s flagship talk show in the United States, “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” last March, he stepped onto the stage wearing a black rider jacket featuring the logo for this “CKJK,” offering an enticing clue to global fans in advance.

Selected in 2023 as Calvin Klein’s global ambassador, Jungkook has proven his unrivaled impact across the global fashion market. Indeed, during last September’s New York Fashion Week, a single post related to the outfit Jungkook wore recorded a media exposure value (EMV) of as much as about 825 million won.

Fashion business experts said, “The synergy that occurs when a global top artist’s personal taste and creativity combine with a brand’s identity is enormous,” adding that, “This ‘CKJK’ collection will remain as the most successful milestone where high fashion and pop culture come together—beyond the concept of simple merchandise.”
