Even a deadly heat wave that topped 32 degrees Celsius proved powerless in front of the massive, sea-like swell of roughly 33,000 people. Korea’s summer emblem, 'PSY Heumppuk Show Sum-weg Su Show 2026', opened its grand curtain on July 27 at Uijeongbu Sports Complex in Gyeonggi Province. Since the show first debuted in 2011, it has steadily raised the bar with an overwhelming scale every year. This year was no exception, armed with water cannons beyond imagination and 'PSY'’s signature explosive energy.

The force of 26 years since his debut, a massive chant that transcends generations

'Napal Baji', which kicked off the stage, set the tone from the first song. 'Jae-sang Park' left the audience’s spirit stunned right away. His live performance was sharp and unrelenting—so much so that the title of “26 years since debut” felt almost irrelevant. The cheers of 30,000 viewers echoing from the 'Celebrity' segment produced a breathtaking scene that resembled a religious gathering. 'PSY' said he chose this venue as the tour’s first stop this year in return for the explosive energy shown by the Uijeongbu crowd last year. He then delivered a pointed request to modern people trapped in digital devices: “Put down your smartphone and remember the heat of this moment with your whole body.”

A parade of mega hits, art forged by 1,500 people’s sweat, blood, and tears

As a 'Mega Hit' relay unfolded—featuring 'Ddaet Ddaet', 'Paradise', 'Gentleman', 'Gangnam Style', and more—the stadium transformed into a massive speaker system. A young man who once dreamed of becoming a composer shared his reflections after seeing the present in which countless people sing his songs along. Even with sweat and water soaking him from head to toe, he couldn’t bring himself to get tired. Behind the 'Generational Integration' that brought everyone from teenagers to middle-aged and older people together stood the dedication of more than 1,500 staff members. 'PSY' paid special tribute to the stars behind the scenes, saying, “We poured out blood, sweat, and tears so that the audience would feel they’re receiving the highest respect.”

An all-star roster of luxury guests and a long journey toward nine cities

Another standout of 'Heumppuk Show', the guest lineup, was just as impeccable. In the parody video shown ahead of the main event, singer 'Ji-hoon Park' and director 'Hang-jun Jang' appeared to open things with a playful prelude. Then 'Hwa-sa' took the stage, blasting her trademark charisma with hit songs including 'Meongcheong-i', and 'Si-kyung Sung' belted out 'Hot Goodbye' and 'The Moment That Is All of Yours', proving the close bond with 'PSY'. After completing a flawless departure in Uijeongbu, 'PSY Heumppuk Show Sum-weg Su Show 2026' now moves on to tour nine cities—Daegu, Incheon, Gwacheon, Wonju, Suwon, Gwangju, Busan, and Daejeon—continuing the relay of the 14-show-long 'Summer Frenzy'.
