Rebellion by a 'side persona'—PiCheolin returns with city pop… a cross-generational ensemble crafted with maestro Lee Moon-sae

Dino, a key member of the global mega-hit group 'SEVENTEEN', is delivering a fresh jolt to K-pop with his distinct persona, 'PiCheolin'. His agency, Pledis Entertainment, said that on the 15th at 6 p.m., PiCheolin’s newly released track 'There Is No Pain-Free Breakup' will roll out immediately across music platforms worldwide.

This new release goes beyond a one-off event track. It is the lead pre-released song opening the story of PiCheolin’s first mini album, 'GilBOARD(吉BOARD)', whose release is set for next month on the 3rd. Drawing with careful precision on the trademark dreamy, polished texture of 'city pop(City Pop)', the song unfolds the intersection between the dazzling memories and the painful scars left behind after a breakup, set over a weighty piano melody.

In particular, 'Dino' took the lead on lyrics and composition himself, proving his advanced musical capabilities as a 'singer-songwriter' without any filtering. Above all, the country’s major K-pop vocalist 'Lee Moon-sae' readily joined the narration in the opening section of the track, adding depth and authority to the story. The unusual collaboration between the two artists—one spanning generations and genres—figures to maximize listeners’ auditory catharsis.
