A chemistry that shines among unique men who hike to come down. 〈Why Are You Doing Substitute Hiking?〉 has revealed its stills.
“Involuntary hikers” four-person crew’s treacherous trek through a snow-covered mountain range Netflix original reality show 〈Why Are You Doing Substitute Hiking?〉 released still images on July 27 showing four cast members. The scenes capture the four involuntary hikers—Cardigan, DAY6’s D o (Do), Lee Chae-min, and all-day project’s Tazan—who set out on their first-ever midwinter trek through snowy peaks, in a hiking variety show built around “hiking with your own two feet” as they face what happens together.
Becoming close friends in a day, each person’s four distinctive takes on the hike As producer Park Hyun-yong said, “Their first mountain hike turned these people into close friends in just one day,” the four in the photos showed everything from their solemn looks before the hike to warm moments as they shared a meal together, letting their chemistry shine. After finishing filming, each of them left comments: “The members are incredibly kind and honest. There were, unexpectedly, some intersections in our interests, and we shared concerns and had a fun time together” (Cardigan); “It was a time when we looked out for each other, took care of each other, and genuinely worried about one another” (Do); “Our impulsive, spontaneous tendencies matched well. It felt like the chemistry naturally came out even though we didn’t do anything particularly special for each other. In one word, it was ‘naturalness’” (Lee Chae-min); and “On the surface, it doesn’t seem like everything is set, but once we started hiking, we went down safely and enjoyably within principles and order” (Tazan).
Exclusive worldwide release on Netflix on August 18 〈Why Are You Doing Substitute Hiking? (‘Daedeung-oe-Why’)〉 will be available only on Netflix on August 18.
