Seventeen’s “Dino” takes on his sub-character “PiCheolIn” and delivers an unprecedentedly bold twist to the music industry. According to his agency, Pledis Entertainment, on the 3rd his first solo mini album “Gilboard” (吉BOARD) was released officially. The most notable part is the first live performance of the new song. In what is extremely rare for an idol group member, Dino was selected to return with “Jeon Guk Norae Jang” on KBS 1TV, sparking explosive curiosity among the public.

This new release, “Gilboard”, is a standout work that reinterprets a wide range of genres—from EDM trap to city pop and new jack swing—through Korea’s signature “heung” and sensibility. In particular, the title track “Nora Bo-se”, produced under the lead direction of acclaimed composer “Hitchhiker”, who has built a distinctive musical world, features a polished melody line and witty lyrics. Through it all, it fully realizes the uniquely sly charm of “PiCheolIn” and the untethered, freely spirited energy.

Behind Dino choosing “Jeon Guk Norae Jang” to kick off his comeback is the artist’s deep consideration. Dino said, “It was a decision I made after long deliberation to connect with the public in a more friendly way,” adding that, “I wanted to modernly inherit the freedom on stage and the original individuality of senior artists who ruled the 1970s and 1980s.”

He continued, “I worked intensely to capture Korean “retro” sensibilities and the joys, sorrows, and ups and downs of life in music as a medium.” He added, “With an unconventional concept I haven’t tried before, I will show a fresh side that only I can present.” He also said, “I hope “Gilboard” becomes, even if only a little, certain comfort and enjoyment for modern people who are tired from a relentless daily routine.”
