SBS announces a push toward sports-entertainment crossovers, confirming a bold lineup for the 2026 Nagoya Asian Games

Broadcast personality Jun Hyunmoo has secured a seat at the desk for the 2026 Nagoya Asian Games after the 2024 Paris Olympics and the 2026 North and Central America World Cup. SBS has named Jun Hyunmoo, Bae Seongjae, and Jung Wooyoung as the main broadcast team for the Nagoya Asian Games, which open on Sept. 19, 2026, completing 'a strikingly unconventional broadcast lineup'.

Jun Hyunmoo, who proved his potential as a sports caster through his coverage of Olympic weightlifting at the Paris Olympics, will take the mic for this event's 'men's high jump finals' and 'archery recurve'. Leading caster Bae Seongjae will steer 'main events' such as soccer, badminton, swimming, and judo. Meanwhile, caster Jung Wooyoung will handle baseball and fencing and basketball coverage, adding depth to 'expertise'.

In particular, Jun Hyunmoo and Bae Seongjae will appear together on the special entertainment program 'Nagoya Galgo ya' slated during the tournament, setting the stage for 'crossover content' that dissolves the line between sports and entertainment.
