The film The Things We Didn't Say announced on Aug. 21 that it will open in South Korea in September. The Things We Didn't Say is the latest work from Gabriele Muccino, director of The Pursuit of Happyness, and is based on Delia Ephron's novel Siracusa (Siracusa). The film's screenwriter, original author Delia Ephron, worked alongside Muccino on the screenplay, further refining the production.
The Things We Didn't Say moves between Rome, Italy, and Tangier, Morocco—two distant yet mirror-like spaces—to portray how the balance of seemingly solid relationships begins to crack during the precarious territory of a vacation. The poster and trailer offer a glimpse into those fractures. Stefano Accorsi and Claudio Santamaria, longtime screen regulars of director Gabriele Muccino, appear alongside Beatrice Savignani and Carolina Crescentini in a poster marked by their conflicting gazes, sparking viewers' curiosity. The trailer opens with sensual imagery before gradually revealing the characters in increasingly precarious situations, heightening the tension.
The Things We Didn't Say, which brings aboard film-music maestro Paolo Buonvino and cinematographer Fabio Ciamarion, known as the Italian film industry's “master of light and shadow,” is set to open in September.
