THE BOYZ, past legal dispute behind them, opens second chapter with a "together and apart" strategy

THE BOYZ, which signaled plans to pursue an independent path after winning a dispute over its exclusive contract, is opening a new chapter at the newly established label SevenEight Records.

SevenEight Records said on the 14th that it had signed a management agreement to oversee group activities for nine members: Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, Q, Sunwoo and Eric. The company said in an official statement, "We will fully support the members' group activities and build a close working relationship."

The partnership is built on years of trust. SevenEight Records is a customized new agency recently established by industry veterans who have maintained close ties with the members since the group's early days.

The most notable aspect is the "two-track management" strategy. With nine members, excluding New, having confirmed their partnership with the label, each member's agency will oversee individual activities, while SevenEight Records will manage only the group's activities as a whole.

THE BOYZ signed an exclusive contract with ONE HUNDRED LABEL in 2024, but earlier this year abruptly sought to terminate the agreement over serious issues including unpaid settlement payments. In April, a court finally granted the group's petition for an injunction suspending the effect of the exclusive contract, freeing the members to move forward independently.

Fans and the music industry are closely watching what lies ahead for the members as they conclude a lengthy legal battle and begin anew.
