Han Ye-ri signs exclusive contract with new agency Studio Viewtyque, poised for post-'Minari' breakthrough

Actress Han Ye-ri is embarking on a new chapter after signing with the newly launched entertainment agency Studio Viewtyque.

Fresh start as Studio Viewtyque's first signed actress Studio Viewtyque officially announced on the 18th that it had signed Han Ye-ri, whose distinctive acting ability and multifaceted appeal have made her a standout. The agency said it would provide full support so Han, its first signed actress, can freely develop her potential across a range of fields, drawing on her deep experience and proven talent.

The strength of a global star who moves between television and film Han Ye-ri studied Korean traditional dance at the Korea National University of Arts before making her acting debut in short films. She went on to demonstrate a broad range in films including 〈Korea〉, 〈Haemoo〉, 〈A Worst Day〉 and 〈A Quiet Dream〉. In particular, she earned global recognition for her nuanced yet strong portrayal of Monica in director Lee Isaac Chung's film 〈Minari〉, winning the Best Actress award at the 2021 Gold List Awards. She has also established a distinctive presence on television, moving comfortably between historical and contemporary dramas including 〈Six Flying Dragons〉, 〈Age of Youth〉, 〈Nokdu Flower〉, 〈My Unfamiliar Family〉 and 〈The Intimate Traitor〉.

From acting to directing, a limitless artist continues to expand Han Ye-ri's work has grown beyond acting into a broader artistic practice. She recently served as host of the closing ceremony of the Jecheon International Music & Film Festival, showcasing her confident command of live proceedings. She also made her official directing debut at the 13th Marie Claire Film Festival with the short film 〈Finding the Lost Heart〉. Co-directing the film with director Yoo Si-hyung, Han handled the screenplay, planning and lead role, demonstrating remarkable potential as a creator.
