K-pop group ENHYPEN met with the director-general of the World Health Organization (WHO) to review the results of a global blood donation campaign and discuss ways to work together in the future.

According to the group’s agency, BELIFT LAB, ENHYPEN met with WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on the 22nd at HYBE headquarters in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Representatives from the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korean Red Cross Blood Services were also in attendance. The meeting came about after ENHYPEN helped promote blood donation by turning the vampire narrative at the heart of the group’s fictional universe into real-world solidarity and action.

The campaign ENHYPEN conducted with its fans was a major topic of discussion. Director-General Tedros praised the members for donating blood themselves and inspiring fans around the world to take part in a meaningful way. “Blood is the most precious gift anyone can give another person—a gift of life. I am proud of every member of ENHYPEN for encouraging blood donation and working with WHO to save lives,” he said. He added: “The last campaign was a great success, reaching millions of people. ENHYPEN and ENGENE have the power to make a real difference in the world. I’m a fan, too,” offering lavish praise.

ENHYPEN responded: “We started this campaign hoping that the people who support us would join in, and we’re grateful that ENGENE around the world took part. We hope to continue creating meaningful change together with our fans.” The group’s blood donation campaign began in January alongside the release of its seventh mini album, 'THE SIN : VANISH.' In partnership with the Korean Red Cross, the group arranged for blood donation buses at places where fans gather and organized online events. A total of 7,730 people donated blood online and in person from January 16 to 25. Notably, 1,031 were first-time donors—a remarkable increase of about 19 times compared with the previous figure. The campaign later expanded to Japan and Singapore, bringing total participation to about 10,000.
