Jang Nara and Kim Hyeyoon Face Off in First ‘Good Partner 2’ Teaser

SBS’s new Friday-Saturday drama 〈Good Partner 2〉 (directed by Seo Min-jung and written by Choi Yu-na) released its first teaser on the 27th, showing a tense battle of wills between veteran lawyer Jang Nara and her new partner, Kim Hyeyoon. Studio S, Studio&NEW and Artist Company are handling planning and production.

〈Good Partner 2〉 is a cathartic divorce drama in which managing attorney Cha Eun-kyung (Jang Nara), for whom divorce is second nature, and experienced lawyer Kang Hye-sung (Kim Hyeyoon), who is deeply committed to divorce cases, become each other’s good partner. The first teaser shows Cha making a confident comeback after building the 50-person law firm Libom in just three years, and her fierce first courtroom clash with Kang, a lawyer whose boundless drive has taken her from debt collection to civil and criminal cases.

The confrontation builds tension as Kang refuses to be intimidated by Cha’s seasoned, pointed advice—“Try broadening your perspective”—and declares, “I’m going to win this case, no matter what.” Cha calmly counters even Kang’s best shot, while their sparring raises curiosity about how the determined Kang and her new partner will work together.

Jang Nara, who fueled the show’s breakout success and won the Grand Prize at the 2024 SBS Drama Awards, once again anchors the story as Cha Eun-kyung, a lawyer with 20 years of experience who looks beyond each case to consider her clients’ lives. New cast member Kim Hyeyoon brings fresh energy to the role of Kang Hye-sung, an experienced lawyer whose trademark persistence and diligence make her particularly devoted to divorce litigation. As with the previous season, practicing divorce attorney Choi Yu-na wrote the script, while director Seo Min-jung adds her distinctive touch.
