KOFIC Launches! Announcement of Discount Coupon Support Project to Revitalize Theaters

The Korean Film Council has initiated a support program for viewing coupons to revitalize the Korean theater industry.

The Korean Film Council (hereinafter referred to as KOFIC) announced the '2025 National Movie Viewing Revitalization Support Project Notice (Discount Coupon Project)' on July 9. This support project aims to promote an increase in movie viewing demand by providing discount coupons that can be used at each theater.

According to the announcement made by KOFIC, 4.5 million discount coupons worth 6,000 won each will be supported, starting from July 25 until the support scale is exhausted. The multiplex theaters, commonly referred to as 'multiplex', will apply online coupon distribution with a maximum validity period of 40 days, while independent and art theaters will apply it at the time of on-site reservation.

The support project mentioned above is scheduled to be implemented from July 25 after receiving applications from each theater from July 9 to 16. More details can be found on the official KOFIC website. (link)
