Im Yoon-a and Lee Chae-min Star in tvN Drama 〈The Chef of the Tyrant〉 Airing in August

On the 17th, tvN announced that the new weekend drama 〈The Chef of the Tyrant〉 starring Im Yoon-a and Lee Chae-min will premiere in August. This work tells the story of modern French restaurant chef Yeon Ji-young (played by Im Yoon-a) who travels back in time.

The core of the drama is the process of the tyrant Lee Heon (played by Lee Chae-min), who possesses an absolute sense of taste, and Yeon Ji-young meeting and creating the best royal feast. The romance between the two characters unfolding in front of the royal feast is expected to be a major highlight.

The direction is handled by Jang Tae-yoo, the director of 〈My Love from the Star〉.

Meanwhile, there were some changes during the casting process for this drama. Initially, Park Sung-hoon was cast for the role of Lee Heon, but earlier this year, he faced controversy after posting an adult film cover parodying the Netflix series 〈Squid Game〉 on social media. As a result, Park Sung-hoon left the project, and Lee Chae-min was newly cast as Lee Heon.
