〈The Tyrant's Chef〉 is a survival fantasy romantic comedy drama based on a popular web novel of the same name, depicting the story of French chef Yeon Ji-young, who time slips to the Joseon Dynasty due to an unexpected accident and meets the king Lee Heon (Lee Chae-min), known as the greatest gourmet and tyrant. Im Yoon-a plays a bold character who was selected as the main chef of a three-star restaurant after winning a French cooking competition, possessing her own culinary philosophy and indomitable spirit of challenge. Even after falling into the past, Yeon Ji-young demonstrates her unique sense by blending modern cuisine with royal court dishes, as seen in the still cuts where she leads the Suragan's staff.
