Singer Kelly Clarkson announced that she is temporarily pausing her Las Vegas residency performances due to her ex-husband's illness.
The three-time Grammy winner stated on Wednesday that she is postponing her August studio session performances at Caesars Palace Coliseum due to her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock's health issues.
In a social media statement, Clarkson said, 'Unfortunately, I have to postpone the Las Vegas August studio session performances.'
She explained, 'I usually don’t share personal matters, but the kids' father has been ill since last year, and I need to be fully present with the kids at this moment.'
She added, 'I sincerely apologize to everyone who purchased tickets, and I appreciate your generous understanding and consideration.'
With the four shows scheduled for August postponed, Clarkson's next studio session performance is set for November 7. Clarkson had previously postponed her opening performances on July 4 and 5 due to concerns over vocal cord damage from excessive rehearsals.
