TWICE, BOYNEXTDOOR, and CAT'S EYE among K-Pop Groups to Perform at 'Lollapalooza Chicago'

One of the representative music festivals in the United States, 'Lollapalooza Chicago' has garnered significant attention as a stage for K-Pop groups. Various K-Pop artists, including TWICE, BOYNEXTDOOR, and CAT'S EYE, met with local audiences, once again proving the status of the Korean Wave.

According to the music industry, these groups showcased their performances at 'Lollapalooza Chicago', held from July 31 to August 3 (local time) at Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois, as announced on the 4th.

The most notable performance was TWICE's headliner show. On the third day of the festival, August 2, TWICE took the main stage and captivated the audience with their hit songs such as 'Dance the Night Away' and 'What is Love?'. In particular, Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung presented the OST 'Takedown' from the Netflix animated film 〈K-Pop Demon Hunters〉, eliciting explosive reactions.

Experiencing their first overseas music festival stage, TWICE expressed, "We have performed so many times over the past 10 years, but we will never forget this moment," and added, "Thank you for enjoying the TWICE performance with such a loud cheer."

On the same day, the rookie boy group KICKFLIP also took the stage, drawing attention with their debut song 'Mama Said' and a cover of TWICE's 'Feel Special'.

On the 3rd, BOYNEXTDOOR performed for about an hour, engaging with the audience through 11 songs. They started their performance with 'I Feel Good' and elevated the festival atmosphere with upbeat songs like 'Earth, Wind and Fire' and 'I LOVE YOU'.

The Korean-American girl group CAT'S EYE, under HYBE, also performed for about 40 minutes on the same day, showcasing 9 songs including 'Gnarly' and 'Gabriella', receiving enthusiastic responses from local audiences. Additionally, the band Xdinary Heroes and Wave to Earth also took the stage on July 31 and August 3, respectively, to meet the audience.

Founded in 1991 in the United States, 'Lollapalooza' has established itself as a large-scale music festival held annually worldwide, including in the United States, Germany, and France.
