According to the music industry, MTV announced the list of nominees for the 2025 VMA on Tuesday, confirming that Lady Gaga secured the top spot in 12 categories. Already holding 18 VMA trophies, she will compete in major categories such as 'Artist of the Year', 'Video of the Year', and 'Best Album'. This marks the third time Gaga has topped the VMA nominations, showcasing her ongoing global influence.

Gaga's collaboration partner, Bruno Mars, is closely following with 11 nominations, drawing attention. Their 2024 soft rock ballad 'Die with a Smile' won the 'Best Pop Duo/Group Performance' award at the Grammys earlier this year and has also been nominated for 'Best Collaboration' and 'Best Pop Song' at this VMA.

K-Pop Star Rosé's Global Rise

Notably, BLACKPINK's Rosé has made remarkable achievements as a K-Pop solo artist, being nominated in 8 categories. The collaboration song 'APT.' with Bruno Mars has been nominated in several categories, including 'Best Direction' and 'Best Visual Effects', highlighting the global expansion of K-Pop.
