Hwang Min-hyun Stars in the Drama 'Study Group' Season 2 Production Begins!

The drama 〈Study Group〉 returns for Season 2, humorously depicting the story of a protagonist who is only talented in fighting struggling to get into college. The production company YLAB announced on the 13th that they have officially begun planning and developing Season 2 of the drama 〈Study Group〉.

〈Study Group〉 is based on the webtoon of the same name by Shin Hyung-wook and Yoo Seung-yeon. It portrays the journey of the protagonist Yoon Ga-min, who shows a natural talent for fighting but has poor academic performance, as he challenges the college entrance exam. The story is characterized by its development of a growth narrative through the contrasting themes of violence and learning.

This Tving original drama, produced with Hwang Min-hyun in January of this year, generated significant buzz. It ranked first in contributing to new paid subscribers on Tving for five consecutive weeks, aiding the platform's growth. Additionally, it performed excellently in overseas markets, ranking first in four Southeast Asian countries: Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Taiwan through the online video service (OTT) Viu.

However, the broadcasting platform for Season 2 has not yet been confirmed. A YLAB representative stated, "Season 2 is currently in the planning and development stage, and the broadcasting platform has not yet been decided."
