The documentary film 〈Supersonic〉 that tells the story of the British rock band Oasis is upgraded to 4K quality and reunites with audiences in Korea.
The importer Chunlan announced on the 21st that the film 〈Supersonic〉 (2016) will be re-released in a 4K remastered version starting from the 29th.
〈Supersonic〉 is a documentary that highlights the story of Oasis up until their legendary performance at Nebworth in 1996, with Noel Gallagher and Liam Gallagher serving as executive producers and narrators.
Formed in 1991, Oasis disbanded in 2009 due to conflicts between the core members, brothers Noel Gallagher and Liam Gallagher. This film was the first project they participated in together after the band's breakup and made a significant impact upon its release in 2016.
Recently announcing the band's reunion, Oasis thrilled fans worldwide by resuming performances in Wales last month after 16 years. The band is currently on a large-scale world tour starting from Manchester, England, and covering Ireland, the United States, Mexico, Japan, Australia, Brazil, and more.
Oasis is set to visit Korea this October. The band has previously visited Korea twice, starting with their first concert in 2006, followed by a solo performance and festival participation in 2009. This upcoming concert, the first since their disbandment announcement in 2009, set a record by selling out all tickets on the first day of sales, proving the intense interest of domestic fans.
