Netflix's next target has been revealed to be 〈My Hero Academia〉.
Netflix is showcasing live-action projects based on Japanese manga and animation, including 〈One Piece〉 and 〈Cowboy Bebop〉. While 〈One Piece〉 is currently in production for season 3, the next target appears to be the live-action adaptation of 〈My Hero Academia〉.
According to a report from 'Hollywood Reporter', Jason Fuchs, the writer and producer of 〈It: Welcome to Derry〉, which is set to air in October, has been selected as the screenwriter for 〈My Hero Academia〉. Jason Fuchs has previously written scripts for 〈Wonder Woman〉 (2017) and 〈Agile〉.
〈My Hero Academia〉 is based on a manga written by Kohei Horikoshi, and the animation is currently preparing for its final season. It depicts the story of Izuku Midoriya, who was born without a 'quirk' in a society where individual superpowers are prevalent, as he inherits the power of the strongest hero, All Might.
