'Tangled' The Birth of 'Walpae Boys' Continuing the Lineage of 'Lion Boys'!

Actors Park Jeong-pyo, Ahn Seung-kyun, Kim Cheol-yun, and Yoon Dae-yeol, who have received public love for their outstanding performances in various works, take on the roles of 'Walpae' in 'Mudokpae' tightly holding onto the Mapo Naru in 〈Tangled〉, promising an unprecedented character performance. The first revealed stills of the actors transformed into rugged yet charming Walpae captivate the attention. The four actors showcase a scruffy yet somehow friendly appearance, adding a special touch with their unprecedented character transformations. Each actor plays a Walpae who maintains order at the Mapo Naru alongside 'Siyul' (Ro Woon) and 'Mudok' (Park Ji-hwan), taking on the roles of 'Walwally' (Park Jeong-pyo), 'Malbok' (Ahn Seung-kyun), 'Jungbok' (Kim Cheol-yun), and 'Gaechun' (Yoon Dae-yeol), expected to showcase infinite charm never seen before.

Park Jeong-pyo, who is often mentioned as a reliable actor, has captivated audiences with his realistic performances in works such as 〈Hell〉, 〈Twenty-Five Twenty-One〉, 〈Queen of Tears〉, 〈Lighting Store〉, and 〈The Cowherd and the Weaver Girl〉, and recently in the concluded 〈Esquire: Lawyers Who Dream of Being Lawyers〉, where he drew attention just by appearing. He plays the role of 'Walwally', the second-in-command of 'Mudokpae', serving as the strong right arm of 'Mudok', responsible for all matters at the Mapo Naru.

Ahn Seung-kyun made a mark on global viewers by playing the brainy 'Jun-young' in 〈Now at Our School Season 1〉. In addition, he has appeared in various genres such as theater, drama, and film, capturing attention with his stable acting skills, and in 〈Tangled〉, he plays the role of 'Malbok', the youngest of the gang, who is a source of energy that looks after his older brothers and boosts their spirits whether happy or sad.

Kim Cheol-yun, who has delivered impressive performances in 〈One Thousand Won Lawyer〉, 〈Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow〉, 〈Romantic Doctor, Teacher Kim 3〉, and Disney+'s 〈Vigilante〉, plays 'Jungbok', who, although not good at fighting, is quick-witted and has managed to survive in the ever-changing Walpae world. Season 2〉, is set to appear as 'Gaechun', becoming a strong pillar for the gang. 'Gaechun' is expected to play the role of the left arm leading the Mapo Naru alongside 'Walwally'.

Disney+'s first original historical drama series 〈Tangled〉 is an action drama about the fate of those who dreamed differently to turn the chaotic world surrounding Gyeonggang, where all the money and goods of Joseon gather, upside down and live like humans. 〈Tangled〉 will be exclusively available on Disney+, starting with the release of episodes 1-3 on 9/26 (Friday), followed by two episodes every week, totaling 9 episodes.
