TWICE Chaeyoung Releases First Regular Solo Album 'LIL FANTASY vol.1'

Chaeyoung, a member of the group TWICE, will make her solo debut by releasing her first regular solo album 'LIL FANTASY vol.1' at 1 PM on the 12th.

Regarding this album, Chaeyoung expressed, "It feels like opening a treasure box that I have been collecting one by one," and added, "This is a work that I have been slowly preparing for a long time, and I hope many people will listen to it," through her agency JYP Entertainment. She introduced it as "an album that shows everything that makes up Chaeyoung, filled with my tastes, thoughts, and attitudes."

The album 'LIL FANTASY vol.1' includes a total of 10 tracks, including the title song 'SHOOT (Firecracker)' and 'AVOCADO' featuring the Japanese pop band Glico. The title track is characterized by a catchy melody that reveals Chaeyoung's bold aspirations.

Chaeyoung explained about the title track, saying, "I thought it would be nice if it was a song you could dance to," and added, "It contains a message of 'let's pop fireworks together and enjoy the party,' so it also conveys the meaning of celebrating the album release." She announced that she would present a performance infused with the disco feel of the 1980s and 90s.

Chaeyoung, who is celebrating the 10th anniversary of her debut with TWICE this year, expressed gratitude for releasing a solo album while the team is gaining global attention. Recently, the Netflix animation 〈K-Pop Demon Hunters〉 original soundtrack 'TAKEDOWN,' sung by TWICE members Chaeyoung, Jeongyeon, and Jihyo, made headlines by entering the Billboard Hot 100 main singles chart.

Additionally, TWICE participated as a headliner at the large music festival Lollapalooza Chicago last month. Chaeyoung shared, "Participating in 'TAKEDOWN' and performing at Lollapalooza Chicago were all new challenges and great opportunities," and added, "I felt proud that many fans responded positively, and I feel lucky to be able to show my first solo album as well."
