The original soundtrack (OST) album for the Netflix animated film 〈K-Pop Demon Hunters〉 has made its debut at number one on the U.S. Billboard main album chart 'Billboard 200', as announced by Billboard on the 14th (local time).

With this achievement, the 〈K-Pop Demon Hunters〉 OST has reached the top of both the Billboard main singles chart 'Hot 100' and 'Billboard 200' simultaneously. The hit song 'Golden' from the OST album has maintained its number one position on the Billboard main singles chart for a total of four weeks.

According to a Billboard chart preview article, the 〈K-Pop Demon Hunters〉 OST album surpassed Sabrina Carpenter's 'Man's Best Friend' to reach the top of the album chart. The album debuted at number 8 on 'Billboard 200' in its first week and recorded a non-consecutive total of 7 weeks at number 2 before reaching its highest position on the chart this week.

Billboard explained, "This is the seventh time an OST album has topped the 'Billboard 200', and it has been 3 years since the Disney animated film 〈Encanto〉 in 2022."

Additionally, they cited sing-along screenings held across the United States and the re-release of the deluxe version album as factors behind this achievement. They analyzed that these marketing strategies led to an increase in streaming and album sales.

The deluxe album, consisting of 23 tracks, is said to include sing-along and a cappella versions of existing hits. Billboard reported, "An LP release is also scheduled for October 17."
