
KBS 2TV's new weekend mini-series 〈Last Summer〉 is set to premiere on November 1, and the main cast including Lee Jae-wook, Choi Sung-eun, and Kim Gun-woo gathered for a script reading session. 〈Last Summer〉 is a remodeling romance drama that unfolds as two friends, who have known each other since childhood, confront the truth of their first love hidden in Pandora's box. The script reading session was attended by director Min Yeon-hong and writer Jeon Yu-ri, along with the main cast, marking the beginning of the drama. The actors showed their professionalism by immersing themselves from the start, and their chemistry and passion earned high praise from the on-site staff.
The script reading session featured prominent actors including Lee Jae-wook (Baek Do-ha/Baek Do-young), Choi Sung-eun (Song Ha-kyung), Kim Gun-woo (Seo Soo-hyuk), Kwon Ah-reum (Yoon So-hee), Jeong Bo-min (Lee Seul), Choi Byeong-mo (Baek Gi-ho), Jeong Hee-tae (Song Ji-cheol), Jeon Su-ji (Kim Ae-jeong), Lee Tae-goo (Shin Jong-shin), Woo Hyun-jun (Park Hyun), and Ahn Chang-hwan (Jeon Nam-jin), who all matched their breaths together.
In this work, Lee Jae-wook challenges himself by playing the roles of genius architect Baek Do-ha and his twin brother Baek Do-young, while Choi Sung-eun takes on the role of the uniquely strong civil servant Song Ha-kyung. The two actors showcased a realistic chemistry like childhood friends even on set. Kim Gun-woo appeared as Seo Soo-hyuk, an appellate lawyer boasting a 99% win rate, revealing a high synchronization with his character.
The delicate collaboration between director Min Yeon-hong and writer Jeon Yu-ri, along with the passion of the actors, stands out in 〈Last Summer〉, which will premiere on November 1 at 9:20 PM on weekends.
