[Korean Box Office] Park Chan-wook's 'NO OTHER CHOICE' Dominates Box Office in Opening Weekend

Park Chan-wook's new film 〈NO OTHER CHOICE〉 has topped the domestic box office in its opening weekend.

According to the integrated ticket sales network on the 29th, 〈NO OTHER CHOICE〉 attracted over 609,000 viewers from the 26th to the 28th, achieving a revenue share of 45.2% and securing the first place. The cumulative audience number for this film, which premiered on the 24th, has reached over 1,073,000.

The second place in the weekend box office was taken by the Japanese animation 〈Chainsaw Man The Movie: Reze Arc〉. This film gathered over 311,000 viewers and recorded a revenue share of 24.7%. Based on the manga of the same name, it depicts the story of a boy named Denji and a girl named Reze who become 'Chainsaw Man' after making a contract with the chainsaw devil, Pochita.

In third place is 〈Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba Infinity Castle Arc〉. This film was watched by over 116,000 people, achieving a revenue share of 8.9%, and its cumulative audience number is nearing 4,996,000, just shy of breaking the 5 million mark.

Yeon Sang-ho's 〈The Ugly〉 recorded fourth place over the weekend. It attracted around 90,000 viewers, showing a revenue share of 6.6%, with a cumulative audience number reaching over 907,000.

The strong performance of 〈NO OTHER CHOICE〉 continues in the reservation rate as well. As of 9 AM on the 29th, it maintains the top spot with a reservation rate of 26.2%. In second place is the comedy action film 〈BOSS〉, directed by Ra Hee-chan, which is set to be released during the Chuseok holiday on the 3rd of next month, with a reservation rate of 15.5%.

The 3rd to 5th places in the reservation rate are all occupied by animated films. 〈Chainsaw Man The Movie: Reze Arc〉 is in 3rd place with 14.8%, followed by the Korean animation 〈Your Letter〉 in 4th place with 6.4%, and 〈Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba Infinity Castle Arc〉 in 5th place with 5.4%.
