Shindong's "I Got Divorced" Comment on YouTube Sparks Attention on Past Public Proposal

Shindong, a member of the group Super Junior, has sparked online discussions with his comment "I got divorced" on a YouTube channel, bringing renewed attention to his past public proposal.

In a teaser video titled 'Shindong's Dongdong Pocha, Where He Says Everything He Might Not Be Able to Say After Drinking' released on the YouTube channel 'Geunbon Channel' on the 27th, Shindong had a conversation with model Lee Si-an, who was a guest. When Lee Si-an asked Shindong, "Didn’t you get married?" while drinking, Shindong replied, "I got divorced, just now," eliciting laughter. The video immediately displayed the subtitle '(Guraim)', revealing that it was just a joke.

Shindong's comment draws more attention due to his past public proposal. In 2010, he appeared on the SBS variety show 'Strong Heart' and publicly proposed to his then-girlfriend. At that time, Shindong stated, "I haven't told our parents that we are getting married yet," but added, "We decided to have a meeting with our parents next week," showing a serious demeanor. He confessed to his girlfriend through a video message, asking, "Will you be happy with me forever? Please marry me."

However, Shindong's proposal did not come to fruition. He is reported to have broken up with that girlfriend in 2013. Even after that, Shindong's past public proposal has often been mentioned and discussed on broadcasts.

Recently, Shindong appeared on SBS's 'Shoe Off and Dolsing Four Men' in April and revealed, "I broke up with my girlfriend of three and a half years last April." He is currently unmarried.

The comment "I got divorced" in this YouTube video is interpreted as a witty joke within the context of his past public proposal. Shindong candidly reveals his past romantic experiences while showcasing a cheerful side, bringing laughter to his fans.
