As the video spread, netizens speculated that the woman in the video is Julie and the man is Kangmin from the group Verivery. In response, Julie's agency, S2 Entertainment, stated on the 29th, "It is difficult to confirm as it is a highly personal matter." Julie's cautious stance is interpreted as an effort to prevent the spread of controversy and protect the artist's privacy.

On the other hand, Kangmin's agency, Jellyfish Entertainment, strongly denied the related allegations. Jellyfish stated, "The rumor is completely false and is a malicious falsehood that seriously damages the artist's reputation," and announced legal action. They also added, "We will take strong legal measures without leniency against the creation, distribution, and reproduction of malicious rumors." This is interpreted as a clear statement that Kangmin is not the person in the video and a strong warning against the spread of false information.
