Attorney Ko Sang-rok from the law firm Phil, representing Kim Soo-hyun, stated on the 30th, "Due to the baseless allegations of dating a minor raised by the YouTube channel 'Garo Sero Research Institute' and the family of the late Kim Sae-ron, the actor's reputation has been seriously damaged," and added, "We have determined that we can no longer tolerate this and wish to actively clarify the situation based on objective facts."

Attorney Ko explained, "Due to the continuous dissemination of false information and acts of defamation by Garo Sero, we expect the investigation to be prolonged," and emphasized that some evidence would be released to restore the actor's damaged reputation and correct the distorted facts. In particular, he highlighted that the diary-style letters written by Kim Soo-hyun during his military service would serve as decisive evidence.

According to the released materials, Kim Soo-hyun wrote about 150 letters to his lover during his service in the front-line DMZ search team from October 2017 until his discharge in July 2019. These letters reportedly contain heartfelt longing, apologies, and sadness about the time they could not spend together. The legal representative claimed that these diaries are clear evidence proving the relationship between Kim Soo-hyun and his past lover.

Kim Soo-hyun's side stated, "We hope that the release of these diaries will put an end to the indiscriminate allegations," and emphasized, "We will hold anyone spreading false information and engaging in defamation legally accountable without any agreement or leniency." They also added, "Actor Kim Soo-hyun will dedicate himself to his work in a more mature manner to repay the love of his fans."
