Tving 'Dear X' Heartfelt + Bittersweet Kim Young-dae Character Stills Released

Tving Original 〈Dear X〉 Kim Young-dae embarks on another thrilling acting transformation.

The Tving Original 〈Dear X〉 (Directed by Lee Eung-bok and Park So-hyun, Written by Choi Ja-won and Ban Ji-woon, Planned by Studio Dragon, Produced by Monster Union and Siu Company, Provided by Tving, Based on the Naver Webtoon 'Dear X' [Author Ban Ji-woon]) revealed on the 13th a character still of Kim Young-dae perfectly synchronized as 'Yoon Jun-seo', who falls into a precarious and desperate love.

〈Dear X〉 depicts the story of a masked woman, Baek Ah-jin (played by Kim Yoo-jung), who escapes from hell to rise to the highest place, and the X's who were brutally trampled by her. The focus is on the birth of a destructive melodrama suspense that captures the ruin of Baek Ah-jin, who hides her cruel nature behind a beautiful face, and the love of Yoon Jun-seo (played by Kim Young-dae), who chose hell to protect her.

Above all, expectations are high as legendary hitmaker director Lee Eung-bok, who created 'Sweet Home', 'Mr. Sunshine', 'Goblin', and 'Descendants of the Sun', and the sensuous and delicate directing of director Park So-hyun co-direct this project. Additionally, writer Choi Ja-won, who won the Grand Prize in the KBS Short Drama Script Contest in 2018, and webtoon original author Ban Ji-woon contribute to the quality of the work. It has already garnered a warm response at the 30th Busan International Film Festival.

In the released photos, Yoon Jun-seo's gaze is directed solely at one person. The person at the end of his gaze, anytime and anywhere inside or outside of school, is none other than Baek Ah-jin. Having shared each other's wounds and deficiencies in childhood, Baek Ah-jin is an irreplaceable special presence in Yoon Jun-seo's life. The affectionate and bittersweet gaze he has for Baek Ah-jin contains countless emotions beyond that, raising curiosity about their narrative and relationship.

Kim Young-dae plays the role of 'Yoon Jun-seo', a man who believes that salvation is love, showcasing deep melodramatic acting. Kim Young-dae stated, "I was captivated while reading the script for the first time, and I felt a strong charm in the character Yoon Jun-seo. Naturally, I wanted to try acting this character."

Yoon Jun-seo, who walked through any mire for Baek Ah-jin. However, everything he has protected begins to shake in the face of love. He added, "Yoon Jun-seo supports and sympathizes with Baek Ah-jin with an absolute heart towards her, but eventually, cracks begin to form in the unavoidable conflict, leading to destruction. I focused on the flow of emotions and the inner state while acting," raising expectations.
