
Disney+’s first original historical drama series 〈Tangled〉 concluded its grand journey last Friday with the release of the final 8-9 episodes. At the same time, news of the official OST release and stills from the final episode were revealed.

This OST album features a total of 26 tracks that modernly reinterpret Sinawi music based on improvisational performances within traditional rhythms by music directors Shin Hyun-sik and Jeong Song-hee of ‘Ensemble Sinawi’. The OST of 〈Tangled〉 reinterprets various authentic genres such as Sanjo, Gut, Gagok, and Pansori, playing a significant role in deeply supporting the emotions and narratives of the characters in the work.

The stills from the final episode capturing highlights from episodes 8-9 of 〈Tangled〉 raise viewers' expectations to the highest level. ‘Si-yul’ (Roh Woong) sharpens his blade of revenge against ‘Wang-hae’ (Kim Dong-won), who took away his precious ones, and steps forward for a life-and-death showdown. Covered in blood, ‘Si-yul’ throws everything he has until the last moment, raising curiosity about how their end will be adorned. ‘Choi-eun’ (Shin Ye-eun) is set to face the greatest trial she has ever experienced. In front of someone’s grave, ‘Choi-eun’ sheds tears endlessly. The story that brought down ‘Choi-eun’, who had remained unshaken despite the harsh storms she faced while diving into the marketplace at Mapo Naruteo, sparks curiosity.

‘Dae-ho-gun’ (Choi Won-young), who was tracking the black hand under the orders of ‘Jeong-cheon’ (Park Seo-ham), finally confronts the hidden black forces in the darkness. This final episode will be packed with moments of ‘Jeong-cheon’s’ lonely blood battle, heightening viewers' tension. Lastly, ‘Mu-deok’ (Park Ji-hwan) also finds himself at a crossroads of choice. The massive bloodstorm that shook Mapo Naruteo. ‘Mu-deok’ finds himself in an unprecedented situation that is even more intense than the moment he rose to the thumb position due to ‘Si-yul’ and the moment he established order with ‘Deok-gae’ (Choi Young-woo). The stills released capture ‘Mu-deok’ looking terrified as he gazes into the void, and the reactions from viewers who watched the final 8-9 episodes were fervent.
