A bitterly comedic reality that makes you laugh, Radu Jude's 〈Kontinental ‘25〉 has confirmed its release date in Korea on November 19, and has released a 30-second trailer that gives a glimpse into the protagonist's inner crisis. 〈Kontinental ‘25〉 tells the story of Orsolia, a court bailiff in the central city of Cluj, Transylvania, Romania, who faces an unexpected incident while carrying out an order to evict a homeless person from the building's basement. This is the latest work of Romanian master Radu Jude, who won the Golden Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival for 〈Bad Luck Banging〉 (2021).

〈Kontinental ‘25〉 layers realistic themes such as Romania's housing issues, social polarization, and exclusive nationalism, while sharply revealing the moral dilemmas of the hyper-capitalist era through cynicism and satire. With an excellent black comedic perspective, the direct and impromptu visual language shot on an iPhone enhances the work's realism and leaves heavy questions in the audience's minds. This year, it won the Silver Bear (Best Screenplay) at the Berlin Film Festival and was invited as the opening film of the Jeonju International Film Festival, receiving praise such as "a writer representing this era" (Moon Seong-kyung, Jeonju International Film Festival programmer), "amazing energy and impact" (The Guardian), "surprisingly interesting" (Hollywood Reporter), "draws humor from realistic details and accidental irony" (IndieWire), and "shows it stands on another dimension" (Daily Beast).
