The global representative K-POP awards, ‘2025 MAMA AWARDS’, which has presented the value and vision of K-POP alongside the growth of the South Korean music industry, has unveiled the first host lineup that will further elevate the status of K-POP.
The veil has been lifted on the host who will convey the message pursued by the ‘2025 MAMA AWARDS’. CJ ENM announced that actor Park Bo-gum has been confirmed as the host for the first day of the ‘2025 MAMA AWARDS’, which will be held on November 28 (Friday) and 29 (Saturday) at the Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong.
Park Bo-gum, who holds symbolic significance just by his presence, will kick off the ‘2025 MAMA AWARDS’ CHAPTER 1 as the host. He has participated as a host since the first ‘MAMA AWARDS’ in 2017, and has been involved in 2018, 2019, and from 2022 to 2024, making it a total of 7 times by 2025. Notably, he has been part of the historic moments of the ‘MAMA AWARDS’, including the year of rebranding and the first entry into the United States last year. He has also hosted stages held at Japan's three major domes: Nagoya, Osaka, and Tokyo Dome.
Returning to the Hong Kong stage for Mnet's 30th anniversary, Park Bo-gum is expected to leave another special mark with his deepened charm and authenticity. As a ‘global icon’, he is anticipated to impress K-POP fans worldwide with his warm communication and stable hosting skills. Furthermore, through the message of ‘UH-HEUNG’, which embodies the call to accept oneself as they are and to live authentically without fear across various regions, races, and cultures, the ‘MAMA AWARDS’ is expected to convey its values and vision more profoundly.
The ‘2025 MAMA AWARDS’, held at the new landmark mega stadium in Hong Kong, is set to lead the year-end festival that music fans around the world have been waiting for through the voices of authentic hosts. With Park Bo-gum revealed as the host for Chapter 1, attention is focused on who will take the stage as the host for Chapter 2 on the second day.
Meanwhile, the ‘2025 MAMA AWARDS’ will have Visa, a global payment technology company, as the title sponsor. The event will take place on November 28 and 29, local time, at the Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong, which is recognized as an Asian mega event hub, and will be broadcast live globally through various digital platforms, including Mnet Plus, allowing K-POP fans worldwide to join in.
