Legendary pop artist Michael Jackson's signature song 'Thriller' has been re-highlighted for the Halloween season, making a remarkable re-entry into the Billboard main singles chart 'Hot 100' Top 10.

Billboard officially announced on the 10th (local time) that 'Thriller' has risen 22 spots to reach No. 10. With this, Michael Jackson has earned the title of the first artist to have his name in the Top 10 of the singles chart across six generations from the 1970s to the 2020s.

Having previously peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1984, 'Thriller' also gained attention for its grand 14-minute music video. Michael Jackson's groundbreaking performance in werewolf and zombie costumes made a significant mark in the history of music videos.

Taking advantage of Halloween, 'Thriller' reappeared on the chart last week at No. 32 and recorded a 57% increase in streaming to 14 million during the current counting period (October 31 to November 6), driving its rise in ranking.

Having debuted in the Top 10 with his solo debut song 'Got to Be There' in 1971 after his time with the Jackson Five, Michael Jackson has placed a total of 30 songs in the Top 10, with 13 of those reaching the top of the chart.

Meanwhile, the original soundtrack 'Golden' from the Netflix animated film 〈K-Pop Demon Hunters〉 has recorded No. 2 on the singles chart. After rising from No. 3 to No. 2 on the 28th of last month, it has maintained that ranking for three consecutive weeks.
