Scheduled for theatrical release on May 1, 2026, fans are thrilled with the teaser trailer release

The legendary Hollywood fashion film 'The Devil Wears Prada' is set to have a sequel, 'The Devil Wears Prada 2', confirmed for theatrical release on May 1, 2026, generating excitement among fans worldwide. 20th Century Studios released the first teaser trailer on November 12, featuring Madonna's hit song 'Vogue' as background music, starting with Meryl Streep's character, Miranda Priestly, walking down the Runway Magazine hallway in red studded stilettos. In the elevator, Miranda meets Andy Sachs, played by Anne Hathaway, and says, "It's been a long time."

The sequel sees the return of the original stars Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci, with Emily Blunt now playing the role of Emily Charlton, a senior executive at a luxury group, and Kenneth Branagh joining the cast as Miranda's husband. Additionally, Simone Ashley, Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak, and Pauline Chalamet are also part of the additional cast.

Director David Frankel and screenwriter Lauren Weisberger return for this sequel, which began filming in New York in November 2024. Notably, Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci made headlines by appearing in character outfits at the Dolce & Gabbana show during Milan Fashion Week.

The original 'The Devil Wears Prada' was released in 2006, grossing over $326 million and achieving great box office success, telling the story of recent college graduate Andrea (Anne Hathaway) struggling under the fashion magazine editor Miranda (Meryl Streep). The sequel is expected to revolve around Miranda's efforts to maintain her career amid the decline of the print media industry.
