In an interview with Entertainment Weekly on November 10, Eddie Murphy explained why he included archive footage of his brother in the documentary, saying, "This is a story about my life, and my brother is a big part of it and had a huge impact on me." Eddie Murphy expressed his affection by stating, "I think about Charlie every day. He’s always there with me."

Writer of 'Chappelle's Show', Brother Who Died at 57

Charlie Murphy, born in 1959, is best known as a writer and cast member of the popular sketch comedy series 'Chappelle's Show' on Comedy Central. He passed away from leukemia at the age of 57 on April 12, 2017. Eddie Murphy had such a strong attachment to his brother that he named his youngest son's middle name after him, Charles.

Currently 64 years old, Eddie Murphy is a father of 10 children. He has various children, including his daughter Angel from his relationship with Mel B and Max with his current wife Paige Butcher. In past interviews, Eddie has stated that despite the nearly 30-year age gap between his children, his parenting style has not changed significantly.

The Netflix documentary 'Being Eddie' will be available for streaming starting November 12.
