'K-Pop Demon Hunters' Earns Academy Award Nomination

〈K-Pop Demon Hunters〉 has qualified for the Academy Award nomination in the United States.

On November 21 (local time), the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), which hosts the Academy Awards, released a list of works that meet the qualifications for the Best Animated Feature category at the 98th Academy Awards. According to the list, a total of 35 works have met the nomination criteria.

In particular, the one that caught the most attention among them is 〈K-Pop Demon Hunters〉. This work, released on Netflix, later met audiences in theaters through a limited release, which seems to have fulfilled the nomination criteria. 〈K-Pop Demon Hunters〉 depicts the conflict between K-Pop idols who protect the spirit world as HUNTR/X and the Saja Boys, idol grim reapers who try to interfere with them.

Released on June 20, 〈K-Pop Demon Hunters〉 has broken Netflix viewing records and continues to achieve unprecedented popularity, with its original soundtrack (OST), including 'Golden', dominating various music charts.
