Actor Udo Kier, who captivated the world with his unique intense impression, has passed away.

Udo Kier's partner Delbert McBride announced on November 22 (local time) that Udo Kier had passed away. Udo Kier, who collaborated with various artists with his intense impression, was active in over 200 films.

In particular, he rose to fame as a cult icon by working with original directors. He appeared in two films produced by Andy Warhol, 〈Andy Warhol's Dracula〉 and 〈Andy Warhol's Frankenstein〉, contributing to the subversion of existing horror character images and the discovery of new ones.

His partnerships with various directors such as Dario Argento, Lars von Trier, and Gus Van Sant, as well as his active work until recently, showcased his enduring passion for acting in the 2022 film 〈Swan Song〉 (directed by Todd Stephens).
