Actor Kim Shin-rok Cast in the Play 'Repairing the Living' for Three Consecutive Seasons

Actor Kim Shin-rok will appear in the play 〈Repairing the Living〉 for three consecutive seasons.

The performance planning company Project Group Ilda announced on the 2nd that Kim Shin-rok, along with Son Sang-kyu, Kim Ji-hyun, and Yoon Na-moo, will perform in the play 〈Repairing the Living〉 at the National Jeongdong Theater in Seoul from January 13 to March 8 next year. This is the fifth season since its premiere in 2019, and Kim Shin-rok will take the stage for the third time following the performances in 2022 and 2024.

Based on the novel of the same name by French author Maylis de Kerangal, this work depicts the 24 hours leading up to the heart of 19-year-old Simon, who was declared brain dead after a traffic accident, being transplanted into 51-year-old Claire.

It is a one-person play where a single actor leads the stage for about 100 minutes, portraying various characters including Simon, his family, the organ transplant coordinator, and Claire, as well as the narrator role.

Director Min Sae-rom, known for the play 〈The Army on the Tree〉 and 〈On the Beat〉, and music director Park Seung-won, known for the play 〈Lady Macbeth〉 and 〈Hwajeonga〉, are part of the production team.
