Raymond Kim to Song Jong-won... 'Black and White Chef 2', 100 Chef Lineup Revealed

80 'Black Spoons' vs 18 'White Spoons', and 2 Mysterious Chefs... The War of 'Taste' Intensifies, Premiering December 16

Netflix's entertainment show 〈Black and White Chef: Culinary Class War 2〉 has unveiled the long-awaited 100 Chef lineup.

〈Black and White Chef: Culinary Class War 2〉 (hereafter 〈Black and White Chef 2〉) depicts the fierce cooking competition between 'Black Spoon' chefs, who aim to overturn the class system solely through taste, and the top star chefs of South Korea, the 'White Spoons', who strive to maintain their positions.

The introduction video of the 100 chefs released through Netflix Korea's official account is truly 'unprecedented'. The first thing that catches the eye is undoubtedly the impressive backgrounds of the White Spoon chefs. Leading the pack is Chef Lee Jun, a Michelin 2-star chef known as a pioneer of Korean fine dining, followed by Song Jong-won, who has earned Michelin 1-star in both Korean and Western cuisine, Seonjae, the first master of temple food in South Korea, Hu Deok-juk, a master with 57 years of experience in Chinese cuisine, and Park Hyo-nam, a French master with 47 years of experience, among other culinary giants.

The participation of familiar star chefs is also exciting. Notable figures include Japanese cuisine chef Jeong Ho-young, known from 〈Please Take Care of My Refrigerator〉, Italian chef Sam Kim, Canadian-born Raymond Kim, former judge of 〈MasterChef Korea 4〉 Song Hoon, and winner of 〈Korean Food Battle 3〉 Lim Seong-geun, who have joined the White Spoon team. Additionally, Michelin 1-star chef Kim Hee-eun, former head chef of the Blue House Cheong Wa Dae, Choi Yu-gang, who showcases the harmony of Chinese and Japanese cuisine, winner of 〈MasterChef Sweden〉 Jenny Walden, Michelin 1-star chef Shim Seong-cheol from New York, the first female executive chef of a 5-star hotel in Korea Lee Geum-hee, local food expert Kim Seong-woon from Taean, and Chef Kim Geon. The unique aura of these top figures in their respective fields heightens viewers' expectations. Particularly, the two 'hidden card' White Spoon chefs whose faces are not revealed amplify curiosity.

The lineup of 80 Black Spoons opposing the White Spoons is also formidable. Nicknames like 'Seochon Prince', 'Culinary Monster', 'Kitchen Boss', 'Chinese Cuisine Gang', 'Culinary Scientist', and 'Three-Star Killer' hint at their hidden skills. From artisans of specific dishes like Pyongyang cold noodles, tonkatsu, tteokbokki, and kimchi to hand-pulled noodle experts and barbecue research heads, a diverse array of masters will face off based solely on skill, shedding their ranks.

〈Black and White Chef 2〉 will be released worldwide on Netflix on December 16.
