The shocking true face of Sean 'Diddy' Combs, who fell from a hip-hop mogul to a criminal, has been revealed to the world. The Netflix documentary produced by his eternal rival rapper 50 Cent (real name Curtis Jackson) has finally unveiled its secrets.
On the 2nd (local time), Netflix released the four-part documentary series 'Sean Combs: The Reckoning'. This work focuses on the rise and fall of Sean Combs, who was convicted of charges including transportation for prostitution last July and is currently incarcerated in a federal facility in New Jersey.
◆ Six Days Before Arrest, Secret in Hotel Room... "We're Losing"
The most shocking scene in the documentary is the previously unreleased footage filmed just six days before Combs' arrest in a hotel room. In the video, Combs whispers to someone, "We're losing".
The production team stated, "This footage was obtained legally, but the identity of the person who filmed it remains a secret." It captures the moment when the hip-hop king, who once ruled the world, sensed his own downfall without any embellishment.
◆ Flood of Testimonies... Aubrey O'Day's Tears
The documentary includes the secret diary of Bad Boy Entertainment co-founder Kirk Burrowes and interviews with trial jurors. In particular, Aubrey O'Day, a former member of the girl group Danity Kane, stirred controversy by mentioning for the first time in an interview that she may have been sexually assaulted by Combs in the past.
Director Alexandria Stapleton explained, "This is not just a story about Combs or the victims; it reflects what happens when we put celebrities on a pedestal, serving as a mirror that reflects us as the public."
◆ "50 Cent's Personal Grudge" vs "Truth Revelation"
The side of Sean Combs in prison immediately protested. A spokesperson for Combs stated in a press release, "This documentary is an unfair and illegal content that uses unauthorized footage," and harshly criticized, "50 Cent is just a long-time rival with a personal grudge." It claims that Netflix handed over creative control to 50 Cent to create a 'disgraceful hit piece.'
In response, Netflix clarified, "This project is not an act of retaliation." A Netflix spokesperson countered, "While Curtis Jackson (50 Cent) is indeed the executive producer, the creative control was with the director and production team."
