"Modern Day 'Die Hard'" Author Stephen King Praises 'The Running Man'

Stephen King revealed why he referred to 〈The Running Man〉 as "a modern day 'Die Hard'."

〈The Running Man〉 tells the story of Ben Richards (Glenn Powell), who struggles to survive for 30 days while participating in a high-stakes survival TV show based on Stephen King's novel. Currently showing in North America, 〈The Running Man〉 has been introduced by Stephen King as "a modern day 〈Die Hard〉."

Regarding this, Stephen King explained, "This movie has a sparkle like 〈Die Hard〉." He also stated, "Ben Richards is a really likable character. It's very important that the audience feels a connection to the protagonist. The character played by Glenn Powell actually gives that feeling. He feels like a real person. It's very good," expressing his satisfaction with Glenn Powell's presence.

〈The Running Man〉 will be released in South Korea on December 10.
